Common questions

What is a SMART goal generator?

It turns your answers to five questions into a goal that is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound. This one doesn’t use AI. The words are all yours, put into the shape of a SMART goal.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign up, and what you type stays in your browser unless you choose to keep the goal in Lifetick.

What makes a good measure?

Something you could check on the day: a number, a finish line, or a plain yes or no. “I cross the finish line” or “the balance reads zero” work. “I feel fitter” is hard to check.

What if my goal feels daunting?

Make the first goal smaller, like half the distance or half the amount, and finish that. Then set the next one. Finishing a smaller goal does more for you than stalling on a big one.

What happens when I keep it in Lifetick?

You make a free account and your goal and month are filled in on your first goal. Lifetick asks the SMART questions in plain words, then helps you break the goal into weekly steps with dates and reminders, on the web and iPhone.
