Delete your account and data
Delete your personal Lifetick account and everything in it from the iPhone app, or ask us to. In a team or school, an admin removes you.
Deleting your account removes your goals, tasks, dreams, journal, trackers and core values. It can't be undone, so download anything you want to keep first. See Export your data.
Before you delete
- Pay through the App Store? Turn off the subscription first in iPhone Settings, under your name and Subscriptions. Deleting your Lifetick account doesn't stop Apple charging you.
- Shared goals. Goals you've shared go with your account. People who support your goals lose them too.
What's kept
- Your email address stays on the closed account record.
- Things you shared with a team. If you belonged to a team or school, your check-in answers, messages and one-on-one notes stay with that team.
- Backups. Copies of deleted data stay in our backups for up to 7 days, then they're gone.
Delete it on iPhone
- Open your account. On Home, tap Settings, then My account.
- Choose Delete my account. It's at the bottom, under Sign out.
- Confirm. Under Delete your Lifetick account?, tap Delete my account. You're signed out straight away.
Delete it on the web
- Open Settings. Choose the account menu at the top right, then Settings.
- Choose Delete account. It's under Actions.
- Confirm. Choose Delete account again. You're signed out straight away.
If you're in a team or school
Team members and students can't delete their own account while they belong to an organisation. If you try, Lifetick says Please contact your team account administrator to remove your account.
Ask an admin in your organisation to remove you. They have two choices:
- Release takes you out of the organisation and keeps your account and goals, so you can carry on with Lifetick on your own. Once you're released, you can delete your account yourself.
- Delete removes you from the organisation and deletes your account and data. It can't be undone.
Owners, managers and teachers are in the same position. If you're the organisation's only admin, contact [email protected].
