App Store and web subscriptions

You can pay for Premium on the web or through the App Store. Either one unlocks Premium everywhere. Here's how each is billed, managed and cancelled.

Works on the web and iPhone Free, Premium Checked 30 Oct 2026

Premium is the same whichever way you pay. Because the web and the app share one account, a subscription bought in either place unlocks Premium on both. You only need one.

The two ways to pay

On the web

  • $29 a year (AUD), or two years at once, paid by card.
  • It renews by itself. The next payment date is on the Subscription page.
  • Receipts are on the Subscription page.
  • Cancel with Cancel subscription on the same page.

In the iPhone app

  • The yearly plan, priced by Apple in your currency and paid with your Apple account.
  • Apple renews it by itself and sends the receipts.
  • Cancel in iPhone Settings, under your name and Subscriptions.

To buy either one, see Upgrade to Premium.

Things to know about App Store subscriptions

  • It belongs to the account you bought it on. Lifetick links the purchase to the account you were signed in to at the time. If you sign in to a different Lifetick account on the same iPhone, the app says Subscription not applied, because it's already linked to the first one.
  • Restore Purchases on the subscription sheet brings it back after you reinstall the app or move to a new iPhone, as long as you sign in to the same Lifetick account.
  • Cancel it with Apple. Cancelling on the Lifetick website doesn't stop Apple billing you. Turn it off in iPhone Settings, under your name and Subscriptions. Premium stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.

Don't pay twice

  • Already Premium on the web? Sign in to the app with the same account and Premium is there. There's nothing to buy in the app.
  • Switching from one to the other? Cancel the old one first, and buy the new one when it runs out.

If you join a team or school

When you join an organisation, it pays for your Lifetick, so you don't need your own subscription.

  • A web subscription is paused with the days you have left, and you aren't charged while it's paused. If you leave the organisation, it picks up again.
  • An App Store subscription can't be paused for you. Turn it off in iPhone Settings, under your name and Subscriptions, so it doesn't renew.
