Notifications and reminders
Lifetick reminds you by email. Set a reminder on any task, on iPhone or the web, and choose which other emails you get.
Lifetick's reminders arrive by email, at the address on your account. It doesn't matter whether you set them on iPhone or the web: they're saved to your account and the emails go out either way. The iPhone app doesn't show its own notifications yet.
Add a reminder to a task
- Open the task. On iPhone, open the goal and tap the task, or add a new one.
- Choose a reminder. Tap the Reminder tile and pick when you want the email. On the web, pick it under Email reminder in the task's window.
- Save the task. A bell shows next to tasks that have a reminder.
What you can pick depends on the due date. A one-off task offers On the day, 1 day before, 3 days before and 1 week before, or a reminder every day, week, fortnight or month until it's due. Choices that would fall after the due date aren't offered. A repeating task offers reminders before each one.
Dreams
A dream can have a reminder date too. On iPhone, turn on Remind me in the dream and pick the date. Lifetick emails you that day so you can revisit it.
Choose which emails you get
On iPhone, tap Settings on Home, then My account, and look under Emails:
- Overdue task notifications emails you about tasks that are past due.
- Goal and task name in reminder subjects puts the goal and task in the subject line, so you can read it at a glance. Turn it off if others can see your inbox.
- Help, tips and offers is our occasional news.
Tap Save when you're done. On the web, the same three are under Preferences in Settings, in the account menu at the top right.
In a team or school
Check-ins come by email too. If you haven't answered after a day, you get one reminder. If someone sends you a message and you haven't read it after an hour, Lifetick emails you about it.
Not getting them?
Check your junk or spam folder, and that the email on your account is right. See Reminders aren't arriving.
